Nizhny Novgorod architectural bureau MISH studio has created a futuristic set design for the «Bolotovedenie project. A joint study of artists and scientists» in the multimedia art space TSEKH*. The project, curated by Daria Kolpashnikova, was initiated by the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts and Tomsk State University. The dazzlingly clean three-dimensional space has turned into a cosmic laboratory, contrasting with the «terrestrial» nature of the swamps. The heart of the exhibition was Vasily Kononov-Gredin’s installation, an exoskeleton for a cubic meter of Vasyugan swamp covered with sphagnum moss. The artist’s travel diary, a documentary about the project and other materials were also presented.
