Lifeform is a series of fine craft decorative lamps created in collaboration between Alina Koujeleva (glass) and Alexandra Rusanova (ceramics).
Sensual objects that convey the beauty of nature through shape, texture, materials, and handwork.
Contemplating the pieces brings aesthetic pleasure to the audience. Objects have no social context, and they do not require energy for conscious reasoning. On the contrary, lamps and their light help to relax, free the observer from current troubles, and for a moment carry away on a drift through the sea of associations. What are these magical creatures? Flowers breaking through the soil, lunar objects or fog phantoms… viewer’s imagination will choose the form.
Materials are also an integral part of the project’s natural concept. Glass, ceramics, brass are essentially sand, clay, minerals, i.e., components of the earth.
The collection does not imply identical items, each lamp is a unique story told by our hands.
