
Ether
In an attempt to explain the nature of things, Plato considered five regular polyhedra to be the fundamental principles for the structure of each of the elements. The dodecahedron is the body closest to a sphere — the ether, symbolising the celestial sphere.
Materials: bookbinding board, felt (merino wool). The layers of cardboard and wool are glued together with PVA glue to produce a dense, rigid and environmentally friendly sheet material that can withstand heavy use.
