The project is taking part in the competition

The main feature of the site is its close proximity to the river and stunning views. This became the basis for the design.

Our goal was to make sure that the person living on the riverbank felt this context as much as possible. Here we worked through the image and artistic expressiveness. So the idea came up to create a HOUSE WITH a BRIDGE — with a bridge that allows you to admire the river rather than cross it.

The site itself is small, but we have placed many different zones on it. Customers wanted to see on the one hand a modern and technological house, but on the other hand a complex and multi-scenario one.

We divided the site into several strips parallel to the river-garden, house line, terrace, landscape with geoplastics. The garden is a row of fruit trees from the side facade of the house. Then from the house itself, further to the river-a terrace with a pool with a bio-plateau, without the use of chlorine. Bio-plateau consists of several layers of gravel of different fractions and planted on top of aquatic plants that perfectly cope with the purification of water in the pool. In fact, this is a model of a natural reservoir. Closest to the edge of the plot, parallel to the coastline, there is a mini-park for walking on the terrain. The relief was created because the house was raised for better visual disclosure and isolation from views from the embankment.

The light architectural volume of the house with the main areas lined up along the river provides maximum view openings and the best connection to the site.

Being in almost any space, we can reach different levels of terraces. And in contrast to the horizontal nature of the house, a vertical spiral staircase appeared, connecting the second floor with the terrace on the first floor.

We tried to organize the interior space of the house as subtly as possible, adapting it to the lifestyle of the owners.

The hosts are hospitable people, and they often have large companies. Based on this, the house turned out to be two-story. On the first floor there are spaces for everyone, and on the second floor there are private spaces, bedrooms, offices of the owners. Entering the house, we enter the living room through a pause in the spacious hall. The living room space is designed in two levels. A little higher up we have placed a fireplace area with a bar, a dining room and a kitchen. And below half a meter — a sofa area with a TV and a library. These zones are connected to each other and at the same time delimited by a semi-transparent bar on glass supports.

Separately, it is worth mentioning about natural lighting. Sunlight in the house has become an integral part of the architecture.

In the bridge area on the second floor, through a through linear window, a ray of sunlight enters the living room early in the morning and expressively moves around the interior throughout the first half of the day.

From the bright living room, we enter the dark-colored SPA area. This creates a contrast of transition from one space to another. We made the three-dimensional panels on the wall seem to react to changes in the temperature in the steam room behind them.

The private spaces of the owners, located on the second floor, are connected in the interior by a bridge hovering over the living room space. Outside, the master bedroom and study terraces also connect via a bridge.

From the outer bridge, a spiral staircase leads down to the lounge area with a fire pit. This is a place to relax in the evening in the sunset rays of the sun by the fire and unity with nature.

The mini-park located nearby is designed in a Mediterranean spirit, but with the use of fairly simple plants-poplars, sumac and junipers.

The lower tier is a meadow of mixed grasses, among which tulips bloom in spring. Large trees create vertical and horizontal crowns that echo the rhythm of the house
