Thanks to my father, an engineer at the Experimental Plant of Qualitative Alloys, who went to the plant in Kolchugino from time to time, the name of the town is familiar to me, and its image for me has always been associated with metal: the mirror-like shine of the kettle, which looked absolutely cosmic for someone who was used to the home enameled or school cantine aluminum tea kettle standard.
